Lachapelle

David Lachapelle's Rape of Africa outside the MOCCA in Toronto.
I always drove past this, or walked by it and I love it.
Unfortunately, it has recently been removed, so it inspired me to research it further.
Apparently it is not a painting, originating from a photo, and stuck to the wall like wallpaper.
It's a beautiful piece with a deep meaning of fragility in Africa.
Referencing Botticelli's Venus and Mars with an extremely modern twist.
Naomi Campbell is portrayed as Venus in all her beauty.
I love it, and wish it were still on that wall in the courtyard.
